Free and Legal Downloads? Yes, at least temporarily. Bands often temporarily permit free downloads of their releases. The end of an offer may be based on the expiration of a set period of time or on a limited number of downloads. But at least for now, here are songs that qualify as Free, Legal and Recommended (FL&R) downloads.
Finding songs that can be legally downloaded is easy. The difficult task is to find legally downloadable music that we recommend. Our plan is to post at least one FL&R song each Friday/Saturday.
Quoting their bio:
"The Milwaukee-based sonic melting pot that is No No Yeah Okay surprise released their brand new single “What Can I Say” off their forthcoming EP, Cabal. The band took form in 2014 when Mark Gage (production) and Christopher Quasius (guitar) began creating experimental instrumentals with little purpose beyond passing the time while drinking a few beers. As their library of instrumentals grew, Mark invited his friend and, at the time, rapper, Colin Plant (vocals), to add vocals to a few tracks. Colin quickly felt like No No Yeah Okay was an opportunity to grow as an artist and change his style towards singing versus rapping. With the introduction of Joshua Paynter (bass) the band added a whole new layer of craft and detail."

The Cairds generate Guitar Rock tracks. The vocals in their single “All Falls Down” are praiseworthy and are necessary in order for the song to have a healthy life on playlists. Still, the best portions of “All Falls Down” are reminiscent of the Guitar Rock of the 1970s, such as The Outlaws’ classic “Green Grass and High Tides.” The songs explode when guitar layering supplants the vocals. The explosion occurs twice in “All Falls Down” – first at the 2:15 mark and then again in the final minute.
The Cairds emerged early 2015, following a previous musical endeavour. Based in Kilmarnock, Scotland, the band has been focusing on providing their own take on the Indie music scene with the combination of the slightly sweet and catchy, alongside the edgier and grittier. The Cairds are Andy Kerr (vocals, guitar), Adam MacDonald (bass, vocals), and Blair Innes (drums).
