“you found sense” by Rome is not a town – A Song Feature

A current of tension and urgency flows through “you found sense.” The turbulence peaks with the Shoegaze-inflected Post-Punk fury of the final thirty seconds. Yet, evidencing the compositional skills of Rome is not a town, there are also flashes of finality, providing momentary relief and some resolution. Thus, at 0:54 (and again at 1:55), each guitar burst in a series of such bursts brings a brief pause in the tension.

Rome is not a town are based in Gothenburg, Sweden. The members are Kajsa Poidnak (vocals, guitar), Susanna Brandin (guitar, backing vocals), Emma Wättring (bass, backing vocals), and Anna Lund (drums). The “capitalization-challenged” band is preparing to release the album “echoes of love” on February 9, 2026. If interested, a review of their earlier single “golden fever” is available at CLICK HERE. The recent releases are via the band’s own label, Spirit Spirit Records, marking their new chapter of complete creative control and continued sonic exploration.

you found sense” is the third single from the upcoming album. This song “leans into a darker, heavier sound, with a clear nod to Post-Punk but without falling into familiar patterns. This release is darker, tighter, less about big gestures and more about pressure and tension.”
