Jake Bugg embraces multiple genres with his single “Kiss Like The Sun.” The beginning has the hand claps and acoustic guitar of a Folk energy burst. Then, the vocal processing during the chorus is aligned with Dream Pop. The song has its Country elements, which are most apparent when the electric guitar is briefly played with a finger slide (as shown in the below live version of the single). There are at least as many hints of Rock.

Lyrics of “Kiss Like The Sun” by Jake Bugg
Drunk with desire
Ten shots of fire
Watching those lips
Got my mind wrapped around the taste
She colored my name
And whispered my place
Watching her sip on my drink
Makes it hard to look away
My kiss is like the sun (The sun)
And my love is for everyone
It was all for fun (For fun)
Until I let you fall, never call
Wasn't trying to hurt you but
It wasn't love, it's only for a night
Wasn't trying to hurt you
She left a necklace on my nightstand
You can come back
But it don't mean we're meant to be
It's not about you
Look on the bright side
I'm only saving you from someone else like me
My kiss is like the sun (The sun)
And my love is for everyone
It was all for fun (For fun)
Until I let you fall, never call
Wasn't trying to hurt you but
It wasn't love, it's only for a night
Wasn't trying to hurt you
Woo-oh [Repeating]
