“Crux at Daylight” by Maximiliano - A Song Feature

It’s a song that should have been on our top singles of 2021, but we didn’t discover the song until 2022. “Crux at Daylight” is a high energy single with a firm grasp on Classic Rock sensibilities. It is difficult to uncover information about Maximiliano. If there is justice in the Indie Universe, that should change. We do know that his full name is Gerardo Maximiliano Martinez and that we are fans.

Maximiliano describes “Crux at Daylight” as a song about love and the necessary sacrifices that come with family building.

Lyrics of “Crux at Daylight” by Maximiliano

I can't see it from way down here. Mountain high
I can't see it from way down here. Mountain shine
And we climb and climb and climb and climb and climb
The crux will show us daylight
It's alright It's alright It's alright It's alright
One step at a time

Younger than you. Raising you child
Yeah, me and your momma left the world that we knew
And we knew we knew we knew we knew we knew
Someday you're gonna go
It's alright It's alright It's alright It's alright
We ain't not alone

And son sometimes you call me and tell me "I can't go on"
It's gonna be alright
Yeah, son sometimes you call me and tell me "I'm coming home"
It's gonna be alright

It’s alright

Finally quiet. Just us again
I came here for love, and you've stayed my friend
And I know I know I know I know I know
The ducks ain't on your tail
It's alright It's alright It's alright It's alright
We gonna make it through

I’ll follow you into the hole
If that's what it takes, to see my old girl
I know I know I know I know I know
The ducks ain't on your tail
It's alright It's alright It's alright It's alright
We gonna make it through

And she's wasting away in the night I hope she comes back
To when it was alright
She's too far in the hole for me to follow
It's gonna be alright
I think it’s time for you to come home and tell her son,
"It's gonna be alright"

It’s alright.
