“Fortune” by Magic Wands – A Song Feature

 

     “Fortune” features Post-Punk guitars, steady-state percussion, and quiet vocals. Magic Wands were originally a duo formed in Nashville but are now a trio based in Los Angeles. The members are Chris Valentine (guitar, vocals), Dexy Valentine (guitar, keyboards, vocals), and Pablo Amador (drums).
 
      The press materials explain:
   “Dreaming back to the days of being a child, ‘Fortune,’ looks back on those years fondly. Full of wonder and excitement, your imagination had no bounds. Life was less complicated then, but as we grow up it becomes a blur. Vocalist and guitarist Dexy Valentine adds to the inspiration of ‘Fortune,’ [which] is about fantasy and alchemy, simultaneously reflecting childhood and forgotten dreams."
