Of Empires released a rocker with their single “Suzie.” The Brighton, UK band discussed the track thus:
‘Suzie’ was pulled from the wreckage of a tumultuous year for Of Empires, the band comprised of Jack Fletcher (vocals), Matthew Berry (lead guitar), Liam Bewey (bass), and George Le Page (drums). Fletcher, the band’s principal lyricist, experienced a break-up from his long-term partner. This resulted in the disbanding of the flat where he and Berry lived, which had tripled up as gig space and party HQ.
It was a painful, drawn-out fission that saw Fletcher step onto a carousel of alcohol and drugs, with a pronounced mental deterioration following quickly behind. Music was both vent and respite and there’s a claustrophobic intensity underpinning these tracks that smack of a man trying to clear out the space between his head.

Lyrics
of “Suzie” by Of Empires
Should have seen it coming
That time in your room
Helped you with your moving
I used to like the view
But I gotta keep on moving
So strike me dear Suzie
I remember what you told me
When I come around,
When I come around
Suzie, it's what you do to me
Suzie, it's what you do to me
Words you said are in my hands
Think it's kinda strange
I'm not the man you think I am
So don't call me again
But I gotta keep on moving
So strike me dear Suzie
I remeber what you told me
When I come around
When I come around
Suzie, it's what you do to me
Suzie, it's what you do to me
I used to like the view
The way it's supposed to be
I used to like the view
It's what you do to me
Suzie, it's what you do to me
Suzie, it's what you do to me
But I gotta keep on moving
So strike me dear Suzie
'Cause I remember what you told me
When I come around,
When I come around
