Falaises is a four-member band in Paris, France with a name that translates to “Cliffs.” Press materials cleverly reference a Rock wall and the band’s ability to scale heights. Not being as clever, we merely note that the guitar in the song “They Are Here” is regularly unleashed, with the best results occurring during the final minute.

Like the rock faces they are named after, French quartet Falaises (Cliffs) have carved out a sound constructed of layers and textures that combine to form a sheer and impressive wall. Their songs are the product of four individuals incapable of compromise and from diverse musical backgrounds, yet finding a common language through the music they create. On stage and in recording their presences are equal, linear, driven and sure. No one dominates and no one is left behind. Tempering each other and propelling one another to new heights.Their sound is loaded and powerful. Defying genre with purpose and conviction.
Formed in 2016, the Parisian outfit consists of Alice Maury on vocals, Guillaume Baptiste on guitar, Baptiste Feuillade on bass and Pierrick Souyri laying out the solid foundation on drums. Once together, the urgency of what emerged between them was distilled into a set of songs that breathed new life into the French Indie scene.
