“Have
I Gone Too Far” is a rhythm-driven single that advances with the momentum of a long-distance
train. The song from Eldridge Rodriguez does include surges and, at least between
surges, the instruments are permitted freedom to drift from a focus upon the rhythm.
Still, momentum rules.
Eldridge
Rodriguez is a four-member band in Boston, MA. They are Cameron Keiber (guitar,
vocals), David Grabowski (bass, keys), Clayton Keiber (guitar), and Dennis
Grabowski (percussion). The press materials note:
The single is moody post-punk that is broadly political and decidedly intimate. “Have I Gone Too Far” was written in May 2020 and attempts to capture the day-to-day isolation, monotony and depression that went along with quarantining during the height of the pandemic.
