“Self(ish)” and “Maple” by lostboy – Song Features

Lostboy is a socially aware UK band that with the vocal and instrumental skills to attract attention to the causes they champion in their music. The video for their song “Self(ish)” references CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably) and notes:
Every week 125 people in the UK take their own life.
75% of all suicides are male.
We all feel a little lost sometimes.
Let's talk about it.

“Self(ish)” was motivated by the mental health battle waged by a friend of frontman Max Clutterbuck. Alongside Clutterbuck, lostboy is made up of Jack Berry (lead guitar), Henry Robinson (bass) and Ethan Reeves (drums), coming together as a band via secondary school, a shared love of classic post-punk/new wave and the motivation to speak up for a generation’s pain and desires. The band is based in Sheffield, UK.

  1. That's great to see that people are talking about because it's not. You can be guaranteed if the gender ratios were reversed, you'd never stop hearing about it. It's a tragedy throughout the West. The figures and ratios are just as bad in the US, Canada, Australia, everywhere.
I wrote a blog post about this 6 years ago. It's far worse now than then. https://www.anthonyjlangford.com/2016/10/not-enough-attention-to-men.html
    Good for them. Much respect.
