We don’t have the language skills to know what they are selling, but we are buyers. As with dancers who are somehow captivating beyond their dance skills and their physical appearance, vocals can have a charisma that causes difficulty when trying to explain or justify the level of attraction. At least in the song “Our Hearts,” we understand the lyrical message and the attitude. “OVNIS” is in French.
“Our Hearts” by 12345 was in the Indie Obsessive “favorites” of 2019. The video is embedded in this post. Two members of 12345 are William Hennessey and Rick Pagano. There are similarities to “OVNIS.” Both are driven by attitude and acoustic guitar. The mixing and production are consistent. But the second half of “OVNIS” is orchestral. And of course, there is a switch in language. William Hennessey and Rick Pagano are based in Quebec.
