The greatest strength of Hermitage Green is its rhythmic power. The band’s sound is more aligned with bands we praise from South Africa than from Ireland. Then, it adds diverse instruments and gang vocals to generate songs that make Hermitage Green a concert draw. They visited Canada and the U.S. in 2018. With the release of new songs, there is a reason to hope for a return.
The membership of the band from Limerick, Ireland is Darragh Graham (banjo, djembe, backing vocals), Darragh Griffin (vocals, guitar), Dan Murphy (vocals, guitar, dobro, harmonica), Barry Murphy (vocals, bass), and Dermot Sheedy (bodhran).
