“From the Other Side of the World” by Sara Hartman – A Song Review

Sara Hartman will eventually release a single we won’t feel compelled to share. That is yet to happen. One characteristic of her earlier songs, such as “Satellite,” was to conclude with voice layering that left the listener wanting more. That’s not the case with “From the Other Side of the World,” which is more focused on quickly pulling the listener into the circle. The intro includes backing vocals that sound both echoed and reverberated.
Another feature that distinguishes “From the Other Side of the World” from earlier releases from Sara Hartman begins at the 3:23 mark, when she presents the lyrics in sentence fragments to the accompaniment of a periodic electric guitar.
