Active Child - A Band Review

      We have intended to write about “Evening Ceremony for a while. It’s just that nothing indicated that the timing was right. But like buying your first home, maybe there’s never a time that seems “right,” so ya just make it happen.

     “Evening Ceremony” is a song by Active Child from Los Angeles. Active Child is the performance name of Pat Grossi. If you isolate the different contributions to “Evening Ceremony,” there is no complexity to be found. But it’s the layering and the timing of entrances and exits of those contributions that provide the complexity. Grossi uses layering of his vocals effectively. Grossi’s ease in the falsetto register and his ability to bring the harp into the electronic genre make the song “special.”
