International Women’s Day – Archis and Elle King

     March 8, 2015 is International Women’s Day. It's appropriate to feature two songs that have a strong female presence.

     We have been listening to “Blood” for a while, but only recently ran into “Bittersweet” by Archis. There isn’t a Soundcloud upload of “Bittersweet,” so the YouTube video is embedded. Like the video for “Blood, it’s a little disturbing.

     Archis is a duo based in Los Angeles. The names are Dia Frampton and Joseph Trapanese.

     Elle King is receiving attention from satellite radio stations, but not much in the blogosphere – yet. She is the daughter of a well-known artist in a different profession. Her father is Rob Schneider, the comedian who gained momentum within the comedy scene when was hired by Saturday Night Live in 1988. Elle was born the next year.
