It was late during an uneventful day for music discovery, when Jesse Konrad lobbed “Cruise Ctrl” over the SubmitHub wall. The song is more than a year old, but we completely missed it. Thanks Jesse!
Jesse Konrad is the project/band name of Jesse Henderson. He describes the project’s music as having an introspective, folky sound garnished with ramshackle, zany orchestral touches and drifty optimism. Henderson temporarily moved to Los Angeles, setting up camp in his brother's garage for three months. After the need for a slower pace, he retracted to his hometown, Tucson, Arizona, where he connected with his producer Robbie Williamson (BRYDES) at Saint Cecelia Studios (started by Steven Lee Tracey from the Alt-Rock band The Myriad).
