“Into The Fire” includes an uncomplicated piano hook that stands alone in the intro and continues to play a significant role for almost two minutes, despite the force of the vocals and instruments that join the piano. It’s a testament to the position that complexity is not a requirement for elegance or power.
Diamond Shake is the moniker of Matt Hitchens. Quoting his bio:
One man band, from London to LA. I moved out to LA seven years ago to make a career in music, having started playing instruments when I was around eight years old. Over the last two and a half years, I have written, performed, produced, engineered and mixed every note of "From Method To Madness," an album about my issues with depression, anxiety, anger, and low self-esteem.

Lyrics of “Into The Fire" by Diamond Shake
I led you straight down into my soul to save me,
Led you straight down into my soul,
Now you’re taking control,
Oh Lord, more than I know.
I let you take me out of the cold to warm me,
Let you take me out of the cold,
Now you’re taking control,
Oh Lord, more than I know.
As we go straight down into the fire (Repeat 4x]
As we go
I let you break me down to the bone to heal me,
Let you break me down to the bone,
Now you’re taking control,
Oh Lord, more than I know
Why won’t you take me out of the fire?
Why won’t you take me out of the fire?
Why won’t you let me heal from the burns that I earned,
Now that I’ve given everything you desire?
And I don’t think, I don’t think that I can ever stop,
So I guess, I guess, I guess I never will,
And I don’t think, I don’t think that I can ever stop,
So I guess, I guess, I guess I never will
Lost in nights that last so long,
Nights that last forever,
But the sickness we thrive from,
Keeps us sick together
I let you burn my heart just to save my skin,
I let you burn my heart to ashes,
Now you’ve taken control,
Oh Lord, more than I know
Why won’t you take me out of the fire?
Why won’t you take me out of the fire?
Why won’t you let me heal from the burns that I earned,
Now that I’ve given everything you desire?
And I don’t think, I don’t think that I can ever stop,
So I guess, I guess, I guess I never will,
And I don’t think, I don’t think that I can ever stop,
So I guess, I guess, I guess I never will
And I don’t think,
I don’t think that I can,
I don’t think that I don’t think that,
I don’t think that I can ever stop.
