“Since” by PAL – A Song Review

     If the song “Since” were a food dish, the recipe would call for a small number of simple ingredients, but not “simple” in terms of sugars that provide just a short energy burst. The desired flavor is created by mixing the ingredients in thoughtfully selected amounts.

     “Since” is the title track of an album released earlier this year by PAL, a trio based in Malmö, Sweden. The members are Albin Johansson, Cristoffer Csanady and Adam Hjertström. The guitar floats the listener through "Since," while a synthesizer, the percussion and simple lyrics periodically enter and exit. The song does shift gears at the 4:21 mark, but by then the mood has been established.
