Is it possible to provide a song that pleasingly integrates the Western-style guitar of Lord Huron with the vocal and instrumental approach taken by AWOLNATION in their songs “Sail” and “I Am”? Until recently, we whould have asserted that the integration would not lead to a pleasing experience. But then we heard “Slow and Steady.”
The reminder of Lord Huron first enters at the 1:40 mark of Leagues’ “Slow and Steady.”
The hints of AWOLNATION are less obvious, but are more frequent.
Leagues is a Nashville-based duo. The members are Thad Cockrel and Jeremy Lutito.
