“Made to Love You” by Dan Owen – A Song Review

The song is a reflection upon factors that keep a relationship together, while pulling it apart. The video is a focus on domestic violence. “Made to Love You” is not your typical song from a 24-year-old man.

Dan Owen is a singer/songwriter in Shrewsbury, UK.

Lyrics of “Made to Love You” by Dan Owen
I never thought it could be
And there was nothing that could make me let you go
Cause you were my wildest dream
But your open hands become my enemy

I had to ask myself
If I was right or wrong
But blinded by the making up
That I knew all along

That if I was made to love you
Then how could you bring me pain?
And if I was made to love you
How come we're here again?
Why does it hurt so bad?

If I was made to love you

It didn't take long to find
The scars can't be covered by all the words you cry
The sorrow you hid behind
And all of your tears won't be able to justify

I had to ask myself
If I was right or wrong
But blinded by the making up
That I knew all along

That if I was made to love you
How could you bring me pain?
And if I was made to love you
How come we're here again?
And why does it hurt so bad?
If I was made to love you

If I was made to love you
