Old Sea Brigade “Love Brought Weight” A Song Review

Reviewer: Evan Morgan (https://twitter.com/evanmorgan808)

For Atlanta-based Singer/Songwriter Ben Cramer, it's clear that Old Sea Brigade is much more than just another passion project. There's a quiet confidence that comes across in his songs that you cannot simply duplicate or replicate, it's something tangible that you either have or you don't, and, whatever that may be or whatever one chooses to call it, Cramer has it.
As both the opener and lead single off of his self-titled EP, “Love Brought Weight” is certainly no feather-weight in the arena of songwriting. With light, bright acoustics, backing harmonies, and subtle vocal effects, Cramer manages to craft a genuine, heartfelt single that perfectly captures his style – a less is more approach that's as apt as it is airy. There’s also a relaxed nature to Cramer’s delivery and to the overall track itself that instantly puts the listener at ease, as the weight is lifted from your shoulders with each note and chord that rings out.
