Free and Legal Downloads? Yes, at least temporarily. Bands often temporarily permit free downloads of their releases. The end of an offer may be based on the expiration of a set period of time or on a limited number of downloads. But at least for now, here is a song that qualifies as a Free, Legal and Recommended (FL&R) download.
Finding songs that can be legally downloaded is easy. The difficult task is to find legally downloadable music that we recommend.
The Bins is the project of Clark Barclay, who has his roots in Cupertino, California, but has his current residence in Riverside. The project’s name reflects his passion for digging through bins of discount vinyl records. Clark is both a skilled hunter and an obsessed gatherer. He is a man to admire if you follow the tenet: “Never judge a person on the basis of religion, skin color or sexual orientation; judge on the contents of the record collection.”
The most recent release from The Bins is the Triphop track “Mind.” Other contributors to the song include Bobby Salehnejad (bass), Gabriel Soriano (percussion), and DJ Phonic (scratches). Shawn Hatfield at AudibleOddities provided the mixing for “Mind.” And a tip of the cap to Barney Dwyer and The Bins for the interesting artwork.
