“Step Out” by Jose Gonzalez - A Song Review

One of us enjoys the excruciatingly long succession of trailers that must be endured before the eventual start of the movie a movie-goer paid to see. As may be apparent from the selection of words in the previous sentence, the other one of us does not. But it helps to sit back and try to identify the songs that are used in the background of the trailers.
Yesterday, before the start of “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” (yes, it was a good movie), among the trailers was one for “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty.” The trailer is embedded below. There are two songs that are featured. The first one is most easily identified at the 36-second mark, when Of Monsters and Men start the vocals for “Dirty Paws.” The second one starts at the 1:23 mark of the trailer. At first, the recognition didn’t come. However, a choir started at the 1:49 mark and recollection hit,” Hey, we just put this song into the queue for a blog entry.”
The song is “Step Out” by Jose Gonzalez. Just last week, it was added to our top ten choir-containing songs released within the last twelve months. Gonzalez is from Göthenburg, Sweden and is a member of the Swedish trio Junip. Below are the trailer, the song "Step Out," and our favorite song from Junip.
