“Slow Down” by The New Coast – A Song Review

It's a song that begins with an introspective deliberateness. Both the tempo and the resolutions are deliberate - “And I understand/realize.” In our experiences, the songs that last longest in our playlists are the ones we don’t appreciate until it’s played a number of times. The appreciation for “Slow Down” continues to grow.
“Slow Down” and “Lost in Love” will be among the tracks on the upcoming EP release by The New Coast. The EP, “Paraga Beach,” is scheduled for release on November 4, 2016. The New Coast is a duo from East London. The members are Nick Blyth and Chris Cheater.

Lyrics of “Slow Down” by New Coast
Go as far as the eye can see
And I’m running
Through the trees and all you have found in your head
And I understand

Take off the ground and I’m listening
Through the trees and all you have found in your head
And I realize

Slow down, slow down
It’s a cold and lonely house
Slow down, slow down

Wading out in the lake so far
And we’re swimming
Through the seams and all you have found in your head
And I understand

Hear a sound, then I’m rushing
Through the seams and all that you allow in your head
And I realize

Slow down, slow down
It’s a cold and lonely house
Slow down, slow down

Slow down, slow down
It’s a cold and lonely house
Slow down, slow down

Do you know what you’re doing here?
Do you know what you’re doing here?
Do you know what you’re doing here?
‘Cause I know
Do you know what you’re doing here?
Do you know what you’re doing here?
Do you know what you’re doing here?

We go like
Go like
Sweet life

We go like
Go Like
Sweet life

Do you know what you’re doing here?
Do you know what you’re doing here?
Do you know what you’re doing here?
