“Living On The Outside” by Bruno Martini – A Song Review

Bruno Martini is on the move. He is still based in São Paulo, Brazil. But professionally, the reflection in the rear view mirror shows striking landmarks, while the scenery ahead is even more attractive. The song “Living On The Outside” was released under Martini’s name, rather than a successful collaboration (including College 11). Additionally, the song’s Rock guitar and Pop elements evidence at least an adjustment from the EDM emphasis of his past. And Martini is now signed with Aftercluv, Universal Music Brazil and Universal Music Sweden.

“Living On The Outside” has vocal characteristics in common with Mark Foster during some of the early releases of Foster the People (such as “Pumped Up Kicks”). On the other hand, the guitar riffs stand apart from the work of Foster the People.
Lyrically, the song is directed to those who live on the outside because they live for the moment. There will be times when you "may fall to your knees, but it’s gonna be alright."

Lyrics of “Living On The Outside” by Bruno Martini
And every broken bone
Every stone they throw
We may fall to our knees
But it’s gonna be alright
Seeing you so cold
Right insight your soul
Like you never know
We’re living on the outside
We’re living on the outside
We’re living on the outside

And every broken bone
Every stone they throw
We may fall to our knees
But it’s gonna be alright
Seeing you so cold
Right insight your soul
Like you never know
We’re living on the outside
We’re living on the outside
We’re living on the outside

And every broken bone
Every stone they throw
We may fall to our knees
But it’s gonna be alright
Seeing you so cold
Right insight your soul
Like you never know
We’re living on the outside
