Say Lou Lou – A Band Review

We know that Indie Obsessive is late to the party in blogging about the twin sisters who use the moniker Say Lou Lou. We appreciated the early releases of Say Lou Lou, but wondered if they were receiving attention in the blogosphere because they are attractive twins. “Fool of Me” and “Maybe You” started the ball rolling, and they were both interesting. Then, “Julian” arrived and with it came an increased respect from us (technically, "Julian” and “Fool for Me” arrived together, but not with respect to our ears). Still, we were not ready to feature the songs in a post. Well, this month’s release of “Beloved” turned the light switch to the “on” position for us. We found the party.
Say Lou Lou is Elektra Kilbey (blond) and Miranda Kilbey (brunette). They identify their music as dreampop and identify their origin as Australia and Sweden, since their father and mother are Sydney and Stockholm, respectively. The father is credited with writing the song “Under the Milky Way,” which was made famous by The Church and its simulated bagpipes. Elektra and Miranda are 22 years old (Born June 7, 1991) and they originally called themselves Saint Lou Lou.
