The Austin City Limits Festival steams a number of the performances, providing non-attendees with opportunities to enjoy the shows and to expand their musical knowledge. On Sunday October 4, the live performance of Boom Forest was available on the homepage of the festival. Before the end of their show, we were checking their tour schedule.
Boom Forest opens for Kopecky in San Francisco on Friday October 9. The venue is the Brick and Mortar. For ticket information, CLICK HERE. Other shows on their tour are pasted below.
Boom Forest has a dual presence. The Facebook page of the band identifies their hometown as Baraboo, Wisconsin and identifies their current location as Nashville, Tennessee. The members are John Paul Roney, Andrew Fraser and Aaron Simon. On November 6, Boom Forest will release an album entitled “Post Knight Errant.” One track is “Silver Hair.”

An email invitation to review “Silver Hair” stated:
Boom Forest is the musical outlet for Nashville-based and Baraboo, WI-grown musician John Paul Roney. As part of the Boom Forest project, Roney has developed a mythology surrounding the music, and when recorded and on stage, performs as John Rayne, "a techno-evangelist bard from a post-apocalyptic American future." Through their albums and live shows, Boom Forest aim to engage and transport their listeners to this alternate reality, even if only for an hour.
