“Pocket of Lint” by Jack Ellis – A Song Review

     Jack Ellis is nearing a release of the single “The Storm.” The release date is July 1, 2016. As a preliminary, he is sharing “Pocket of Lint.”

     Jack Ellis is a multi-instrumentalist from Cardiff, Wales. “Pocket of Lint” begins acoustically. Fort the first portion of the song, the primary attractions are the lead vocals and the backing series of “ooo.” But as the song progresses, it experiences turns and shifts of gears. For example, while the first two occurrences of the line “Watch me as I fall” are followed by an acoustic guitar played in a quick-twitch style, the third occurrence is followed by an electric guitar played in a Rock style.
