“Out of The Sun” by Kid Cupid – A Song Feature

 

     Our weakness in distinguishing between names resurfaced again this week. Upon seeing that Kid Cudi will appear on one of the late night talk shows, we hoped that the London collective planned to play “Out of the Sun.” It wasn’t until later that we realized our confusion between the Ohio-based Rapper Kid Cudi and London-based Indie Electronica collective Kid Cupid. Oops! So far, we haven't gone to a concert with a flawed understanding of the band we'll see, but it could happen.
 
      “Out of The Sun” is a single that will be on Kid Cupid’s upcoming EP, “Heartlands.” The EP is scheduled for release on April 1, 2022. Regarding the single, we agree with the comparison of the vocals to those of Stevie Nicks.
 
     Originally, Kid Cupid was a four-member band. Now, they are a collective with Laura Shaw (vocals) and James Hogan (production, percussion) as core members.
