Free Friday (“FL&R”) – June 9 - CREO

     Free and Legal Downloads? Yes, at least temporarily. Bands often temporarily permit free downloads of their releases.  The end of an offer may be based on the expiration of a set period of time or on a limited number of downloads.  But at least for now, here are songs that qualify as Free, Legal and Recommended (FL&R) downloads.

     Finding songs that can be legally downloaded is easy. The difficult task is to find legally downloadable music that we recommend. Our plan is to post at least one FL&R song each Friday.

     “Behind the Beat” is an emotional cyclone. It begins as a mere dust devil, when the energy is still a whirl. As the song progress, the emotional energy builds to a powerful force. 

I always find myself falling behind the beat

Yeah I’m dancing with my pulse

And shuffling my feet through this circus full of dense mimes

    Production and mixing can turn a good song into an even more forceful one. But emotion must come from the individuals with the microphone and the musical instruments. In "Behind the Beat," CREO delivers. 
      CREO is based in Sydney, Australia. The members are Jorjee Haman (vocals), Carlos Romanos (guitar), Daniel Tsoltoudis (drums), and Alex Milano (bass). While referring to the track, Haman stated:

  “This song is very autobiographical in nature and chronologically recounts mine and the band’s journey. It's an insight to how we look back on the fuck ups, the wins, and empathises with nostalgia. That's what ‘Behind the Beat’ is about, reflection, reminiscence and continuing doing what you love to do.”
