Folks We Oughta Know – The April Version

     On a semi-regular basis, a post is dedicated to the Indie Folk genre. It’s been a few months since the last Folk post, so this one is overdue. Welcome to the April installment of the series. The first four songs cover four continents.
     Mountains of the Moon are Adam Huttunen, Martin Zaar, Jessica Tjörnmark, and Alexander Lund. They are based in Stockholm, Sweden.

     Sutherland is an Indie folk trio based in Johannesburg, South Africa.

     Youngsmith is the performance name of Dan Smith, a singer/songwriter in Brisbane, Australia.

     Brevet is a band based in Irvine, California. The members are Aric Chase Damm (lead vocals, guitar), Michael Jones (backing vocals, piano) and David Aguiar (backing vocals, drums).


     Doubling up on one continent, Tale Tree Tales is a UK band (Chelmsford, Essex). The members are Matthew Jones (lead vocals, guitar), Marc Napolitano (banjo, vocals), Carl Napolitano (double bass, vocals), Miki Kinsella (mandolin, vocals) and Steve McGeary (percussion).
