“Noisecreep” by Young and Heartless – A Song Review

“Noisecreep” is a little dark, a little Emo. And it’s synergistic, since there isn’t an identifiable element that explains why we enjoy the song to the degree we do. Yes, the guitars are hauntingly attractive, but it's the cooperation of the guitars with the emotion of the song that sets the guitar work apart from other songs. And the vocals are sometimes “colorless,” but that fits well within “Noisecreep.”

“Noisecreep” is a track from the album “Stay Away” from Young and Heartless. The band is based in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The members of Young and Heartless are Jeremy Henninger (vocals/guitar), Bryan Tricarico (guitar), Jake Lepley (drums), and Britain Weyant (bass).

Lyrics of “Noisecreep” by Young and Heartless
I’m like a new noisecreep.
I like the sound of car crashes with God and man.
I hear them both with me.
So, those noisey lows show these things I’ve sewn.

It all sounds troublesome today.
I should be good and seeing straight
But I have an ugly curse
And hellish way to just drown today.

I want to kiss my girl underwater.
Yeah, it would be nice to have a medical cure
As I sink my teeth in further.
Float, we can be calm, forget our debts.

I called to say hello.
My timing isn’t always the greatest.
I hear you in the back of my mind.
“You’ve got to get it together.”

They tell us to behave
But we know,
We’ve got too much to say.
You can look close, then be on your way.

I’m like a new noisecreep. I’m cherry red.
My room is full of curtains.
The lights are dim and low
Leave it as you found them here and be on your way.

I called to say hello.
My timing isn’t always the greatest.
I hear you in the back of my mind.
“You’ve got to get it together.”
I know I should be good and seeing straight.
“You’ve got to get it together.”
Do you think you could take your teeth off me?
“You’ve got to get it together.”

Turning off, turning off, turning off my brain.
It gets so hard to stay awake.
Turning off, turning off, turning off my brain.
My brain, my brain
I’m like a new noisecreep {Repeat].
