“Fährmann” by Deltawelle – A Song Feature

In the 1980s, “99 Luftballons” was released by the German band Nena in alternative German and English versions. Surprisingly, the U.S. and Australia preferred the German version, which reached No. 1 in both countries. We aren’t predicting similar commercial success for “Fährmann,” but we’re enjoying the German-based single.

““Fährmann” is a track from the album “Kosmos kann,” which was released in December 2018. In talking about “Kosmos kann,” Deltawelle stated:
"The new album brings the sound of the musicians to a point of clarity- a refreshingly childlike and optimistic way of thinking, in which you can lose yourself, when reality grabs you again with the cold hands on the back of the neck and pulls you back into the everyday underwhelm."

The members of Deltawelle are Franz Schneeweiß (vocals, guitar), Andy  (bass), Roland Schirmer (keys), and Paul (drums).
