“Don't Think About Me” by They Owe Us – A Song Feature

They Owe Us turn childhood unpleasantries/issues into music. The video of “Don’t Think About Me” reflects their early-age struggles with acceptance. They are duo Rane and Kris in Gothenburg, Sweden. Quoting their bio:
Rane grew up on a pig farm, and Kris was raised in a house shared by people with developmental disabilities; both from Sweden, but very far apart. As their home lives were decidedly outside of the norm, they found themselves easy targets for bullies and were cast as outsiders in their formative years. Music offered the perfect escape.

“Don't Think About Me” is the second single from the duo's debut album, “Broken English & Sad Serenades.”

Lyrics of “Don't Think About Me” by They Owe Us
I don't know what you need
I don't know what you want
But I know that you donʼt want me
Don't know what you want from me

Every step a killing motion
Every effort hits the floor
Sinking like a stone in the ocean
When we could be so much more

I don't know what you think
I don't know what you feel
What do you think about us
And do you feel that we
Should keep trying when itʼs dying
Hanging in a little thread
Well think it all over
I don't know what you intend

Don't think about me
Don't think about me
Don't think about me
Don't think about me
Think it all over

Every corner meets a bad end
Keep your running far from me
Feels like I can see the future
You won't use your eyes to see
Donʼt think about me

Every step a killing motion
Every effort hits the floor
Sinking like a stone in the ocean
When we could be so much more

Don't think about me
