There is no shortage of blogworthy singer/songwriters originating from the UK. Because Indie Obsessive is (or at least attempts to be) San Francisco-focused, only selected songs from a small portion of the blogworthy singer/songwriters are featured in a post.
A past trip to New Zealand with his father inspired Harry Pane to write “Fletcher Bay.” Quoting the email submission for the song:
"Named after the idyllic place at the end of the winding Coromandel Peninsula, New Zealand, ‘Fletcher Bay’ is a heart-warming tribute to Harry’s father who tragically passed away last year. The song ‘Changing’ from the last EP was written about his father’s battle with mental health and how he was improving but things took on a new meaning after his father’s sudden passing. Pane returned to Fletcher Bay at the end of 2016 to scatter the ashes of his late father."

Lyrics of “Fletcher Bay” by Harry Pane
As I travel round these roads that wind
I feel my mind collide with memories when I felt alive
I'm reaching my goal, Fletcher Bay is in my soul
It's a discovery I'll remember till I'm old
So take me to the place that you know
Together we can go, we can fly away
Together we can find Fletcher Bay
Such sights and such flights
As these birds and leaves explore the skies
It's near Fletcher Bay, they will fly
They're reaching their goal, Fletcher Bay is in their souls
It's a discovery I'll remember till I'm old
So take me to the place that you know
Together we can go, we can fly away
Together we can find Fletcher Bay
Yet nine years have passed, since these views have touched our hearts
I can't believe we can come back again
But I've returned to say, I will leave and you will stay
Your heart, your soul belongs at Fletcher Bay
So take me to the place that you know
Together we can go, we can fly away
Together we can find Fletcher Bay
Together we can find Fletcher Bay
