“Drop” by ESTRONS – A Song Review

The first time “Drop” hit the speakers, the volume was unknowingly set too high – excessively high. The drum intro was startling. After a quick move to reduce the volume and then reorient, the realization was that the feverish pace of the song from ESTRONS would be maintained for the entire 3:22.
As noted in the lyrics, “Drop” kills it. At 2:36, the instructions are “Kill it with love, Kill it with kindness, Kill it with feelin’.” Leading into those instructions, the guitar almost manically kills it with feelin’.

ESTRONS is based in Cardiff, the capital of Wales. The band name means “aliens” or “strangers” in Welsh. The band’s core members are Taliesyn Källström (vocals) and Rhodri Daniel (guitar). The other contributors have changed over time.

  2. Its punk. Reminiscent of late 70s new wave. In truth its magic
