Ballerina Black - They Need to Come to S.F.

In March of last year, the L.A. band Ballerina Black released "Röd," a four-song album.  All four songs are solid and are still being offered as free downloads from the Bandcamp site of Ballerina Black.  Of the four, our favorite is "Automatic Pain."  The four Bandcamp opportunities are included individually in this post, but the album is intact at http://ballerinablack1.bandcamp.com/album/r-d

But last week, Ballerina Black released the song "Birth of a Felony."  The band classifies its music as mope-rock, gloom-pop and grave-wave, but the music is not mopey, gloomy or grave.  Instead, the band's music is energizing.  The driving guitar is relentless and the vocals show good range.
Now, it's time to figure out how to get the band to perform in San Francisco. All five of the songs in this post would be enjoyable in a live performance, but particularly "Birth of a Felony." Hey guys, ya listening???   It's only a few hundred miles.
OK, we recognize that we have ourselves to blame.  Other than in L.A., Ballerina Black appears to get more notice in Europe than in the U.S.  It's time to change that!
