Valentine’s Day - Jessie Ware

     This is a good opportunity to introduce Jessie Ware to Indie Obsessive.  Below is “Valentine” by Ware and Sampha, who is a member of SBTRKT.  Before focusing on her solo career, Ware sometimes performed in concert with SBTRT.

     Jessie Ware is 28 and is from the U.K.  In August of 2012 she released her debut album “Devotion.”  The album has done well in Europe, but not as well in the U.S.  In fact, despite the intimacy of the venue, her performance at Rickshaw Stop in San Francisco on January 24, 2013 was not a sellout until a few days before the event.  But she is trending.  Ware’s upcoming show at a somewhat larger SF venue, The Independent, did sellout quickly.  Additionally, she will perform at the Coachella Festival in April.
