Martin Klein - "Did I Ever Let You Know"

This post is about a single song - "Did I Ever Let You Know."  The post is a departure from the previous few posts, since the song is not a 2013 release.  In fact, the song was released by Martin Klein in 2010.
Martin Klein was urged to play the cello during his early years in Innsbruck, Austria,  But he quickly gravitated to the piano.  He still throws some cello into many of his songs, but the passion is for the piano  (Hey Peep, is that the cello at the 4:06 mark , or the bass fiddle? That question is directed to the cello-player, Peep, not the chicken-shaped treat or slang-referenced "people").  After years of learning the instrument on his own, he reached a plateau.  So, he moved to Holland to study with a blind pianist (Bert van den Brink).

In 2008, he gained some fame in Europe with the release of "Songs for My Piano."  However, our awareness of his music revolves around "Did I Ever Let You Know."  We love tracks that build energy as the song progresses.  We love tracks that periodically add an instrument, so that the song does not get stale.  We enjoy shoegaze guitar, perhaps more than any instrument.  Here, the song is close to being "unplugged" until the 2:00 mark, when it becomes blog-worthy.
Klein's recording label, Ray Recordings, is offering the song without charge:
