Three for Free - Bring on the Guitars

Yesterday’s post involved serious subject matter.  To provide some balance, this post is directed to guitars from the U.K.  The songs are available for Free and Legal downloads, but we’re not ready to recommend the songs, so they are not FLR (Free, Legal and Recommended).  Still, they are interesting enough to consider.
The first is from a Liverpool band - Police Squad.  The song is “The Crew’s Own.”  We like the guitar work, although the different  guitars don’t always blend well.  It seems at times that, after the writing of the song was completed, the guitarists were individually invited to add their riffs, but were instructed NOT to exchange their plans with the other guitarists.  At other times, when the guitars remain oddly silent, it’s as if the guitarists were individually given a limit as to the total time during which they could use their guitars.   BUT SOMEHOW IT WORKS!

The second song is offered by The Scholars, a rock trio from Oxford.  The song is “Wired.”  The download from the Bandcamp site is higher resolution that that of the Soundcloud site.  So if you like the song, the better download is at http://thescholars.bandcamp.com/track/wired.  The review of the song at the Bandcamp site is accurate:
"'Wired' rises and falls several times, with some lovely instrumental work coming between the verses. The chorus is big yet simple, the kind that sticks in your mind. From the opening distorted guitar chords through to the closing fall of notes this is a good synth rock song from a band who know what they are doing." - Glasswerk UK

The third song is from the Manchester band The Slow Readers Club (The Scholars was taken as a band name so they went with this?).  The band is electro Indie, but that isn’t as obvious in this song “Follow Me Down.”
