Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival Announces the 2013 Lineup

Each year, a free festival is offered at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. While the festival caters to fans of bluegrass music, it is hardly strictly bluegrass.  The ninety six confirmed performers were announced today. Similar to previous years, there are bands that would be interesting to a wide range of genres. Unfortunately, there isn’t a draw that is the equivalent of the Lumineers in 2012, but is it ever fair to complain about music that is available without cost? Besides, it is a great opportunity to open your mind and expand your appreciation of music!
Below is a list of the 96 performers who will attend the 2013 Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival. We have a month to get familiar with bands we don’t recognize. There are a number that we will enjoy seeing, but we have only highlighted the ones of particular interest.
